One-on-One Tutoring

Our One-on-One Tutoring is where your child receives focused, gentle guidance from a certified K-2 teacher who knows how to teach reading step by step. During each online session, we work on the exact skills your child needs most - whether that is phonemic awareness (our "single scoop"), phonics and decoding (our "double scoop"), sight word recognition, or vocabulary and fluency.
Because it is truly individual, your child gets time to practice out loud, ask questions, and feel successful without pressure from peers. We move at a pace that fits them, using Science of Reading methods so every activity has a clear purpose. You will see this focus reflected in our 6-week plans, where lessons build on one another and connect to what your child is asked to do in class.
After sessions, you receive simple, practical suggestions for quick at-home practice - nothing overwhelming, just a few ideas that fit into family life. Children stay motivated with our ice cream - themed rewards: as skills grow, they add new paper scoops to their "reading cone" at home, a daily reminder that their hard work is paying off.
